Thread: Storing Gear In The Roof Space

I'm keen to hear peoples thoughs on storing gear in the attic, especialy duting this time of year.

When i bought my rain coat back in the day, i was adviaed to never leave it in a car on a sunny day as the seam seal would be compromised. The heat will affect the glues and coatings and the coat will be less effective and robust. I figure tents, pacs sleeping bags ect would have similar systems so would need to be out of 40+c heat in a roof space during summer.

Is there truth to this? Doea heat affect DWR? Seam seals, ect? What do you guys know. I need a system that works.
