What's out there guys.
Looking for leather ideally with a full leather rand. For north island Bush and tops.
May stretch to $500.
Cheers

Meindl - IF you know someone in the UK - they will come in at less than $450 landed here. To pricy to buy in NZ.
Salomon Quest 4D 3 GTX
Not full leather, but certainly the most comfortable boot I have ever owned. Got about 5 years out of them so far but will need to replace soon with another pair.
Think they were under $400 at Bivouac before Christmas
Anyone using grisport boots. Namely the awatere or mohaka
I have the Hiker, which I've pretty much worn on the farm everyday for the past 2 years.Nice light boot lasted well.not a lot of ankle support. Had a look at the Mohaka the other day, will probably buy a pair of them as replacments.I think for the $ their pretty good
Just get some off sarvo
Mohaka boots are good, suit me fine had 4yrs so far still good, comfortable, good grippy sole
I have wide forefoot and I found the Aorangi GRI sport absolutely brilliant. Doesn't have the high rand but for non scree pounding walks is more than ok. It's a high cut boot too and I wear A pair of stoney creek gaiters to preserve them also.
For mid bush walk hot summer I have a pair of Salomon Goretex GTX boots that when on special at Katmandu are only $250-$300.
I'm drawn to the mountains and streams, its where life is clear, where the world makes most sense!
