As chance would have it I do in fact have a Nepalese kukri, a Yvsa Cherokee Special, the place to get a genuine one is Himilayan Imports and if I was going to get one again I would go for the m43, which will run you up $215 US plus shipping, the make really good pieces, usually out of Mercedes leaf springs, and Toyotas if they can't get the mercs these are then heated and hammered into shape, then shaped and differential heat treated, they come with a little blade and a sharpening tool as well, the sheaths are genuine, but I would see about getting a custom one if you were going to actually use one in the bush...hmm might save the rest for a review...google Himilayan imports though, the service is great and it's a real khurkri or kukri, not a toy
