    Same Question...
    ?

Looking to move on a Leupold VX6 2-12x42 Illuminated BDC reticle and replace it with one of these. Just trying to locate the box in storage.

Like all Swaros the optics are very good, but the Z5 is limited to about 13.5 moa come up. So you are limited to about 700 - 750 yards for most calibres.

True but I have just sighted my 7mm rem mag out to 500 m and that's plenty long enough for me, and as you say the optics are crystal clear and are a real pleasure to look through. The other thing I like about the scope is it is very light so you can use the riffle as a bush gun and also for long range not like those big scopes which weigh a ton and you can hardly lift the bloody thing. I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend.

I find that the biggest limiting factor on these scopes is usually the idiot looking through them

@chainsaw - Isn't there a trick when you calculate the distance in MOA from the center of the reticle to the top of the thick post. Then using the the thick post as your aiming point you can sneak an additonal few MOA (maybe 4-5?)

Great scopes, I have 2 of them. I personally don't like the turret system, I'm keen on setting up the custom turret when I can get my load dialed
