I heard both the new Rifleman and the new Kagoule are really good. My uncle is a guide and tested these in Fiordland a while back and highly rated them. Reasonably priced too.

Good enough for a 7 day trip where I hope not to need it much?

So far, It's very light, fits well, well designed. Haven't used in anger yet so haven't really tested it. Won't use in fiordland but general tops would be fine

@Wildman I've been using the rifleman over trousers all season here in the uk.
So mud! Blackberrys! Blackthorn! Wash them off under a hose! Still look like new and still water proof!
Bit baggy in the ass but then maybe I should eat more the belt is a bit of a pain if you need to go in a hurry but dose a nice job of holding them up. Just noticed that one of the bottom domes is getting a little sticky.
I also have the top but have not need this, so have not used it.
Well worth the money nice to come home and not have to worry about washing mud off every item from your waist down.
Yes I'd buy them again. Oh and there quite

When I went to buy them I called there office while home in NZ as I was a bit hesitant about spending that much and not see our trying one one. They where very helpful and said that if it didn't fit send it back and well send out the next size. Give them a call if you can't try on before hand. So good customer service as well

Went and had a look on Sunday. Nice material but really short. I like the short zip, less chance of a leak.

Their great jackets, lighter than the Tahr anorak that I was used to. It’s a cooler material and you may need layer up if glassing in a exposed position but don’t overheat to much when grunting up hill with a pack on and it’s quick to dry. Also takes up less room in a daybag. The hound dog likes sleeping on it to.

Got it direct from Swazi on their cheaper Clansman deals, I don’t like forking out hard earned coin at the full retail price.
