Swazi Tahr XP or Earth sea Ski Hydrophobia, thoughts?

I currently have a Tahr that I have owned for over 10 years and has been a great jacket - no complaints from me, but does hold water at times. Biggest problem is it is 2 sizes too big for me, so I am looking to buy one that fits.

I have been looking at the Earth Sea Sky Hydrophobias for a while now, and see them pop up in here from time to time on recommendations.

I live on the west coast so will expect to deal to a bit of rain and would be used a lot when tramping around with a pack on. Not so worried about bush stalking as I have another jacket I use for that.

At this stage Im not looking for other brands or models, but just want to hear some more reviews on peoples experience with either the Hydrophobia or the Tahr.

Leaning towards the Hydrophobia currently, mainly cause there are so many mixed reviews on the Tahr Xp out there and very little on the ESS jacket.

Cheers, hopefully others will see this in future to answer their questions.

    Do you want to swap

I have a Tahr that’s a tiny bit small if I’m wearing wooden jerseys underneath

I really like having a full length zip on my raincoats. Pulling wet coats over your head sucks.
Ive had an ESK hydrophobia and it was brilliant.
Now using a Swazi Torrent which is also brilliant and priced ok when on sale, not overly light though.
