Ok can you guys that have these tell me what sort of distance can you range. And when they say reflective objects should you be able to get a reading off Papa slips like in the photo.

Cool and clear early morning / late evening up the 1500m easy
Never less the 800m in blistering hot conditions if there is a good target
Have measured 2000m in exceptionally good conditions
Best reflective surfaces are shiny leaved vegetation
Maybe the papa is not so good ! Sheet rock is usially ok though
As above , should regularly range 1km+ . Problem usually is unreflective target, wrong mode or shaky hands. Try with a solid rest like a tripod
May be worth trying a fresh battery also.
Yeah that’s the worst, always seems to happen mid hunt at a remote location
as long as the laser bounces back from the deer on the papa, that is all that matters ;-)
Concentrating on keeping them still makes a big difference.
