Most proper climbing ropes are rated to 2500kg breaking strain. For lightest weight you would want an 8mm or similar. Climbing ropes have stretch in case of a fall. If you were only going to lower or for river crossings etc you could use a non stretch rope.
It has been a while since I have done a lot of climbing so technology may have moved on.
A rope like this will be one of the lightest climbing ropes you could get

A number of the mountain guides use 7mm rope or even smaller for their own personal use, but not for guiding work. And its not recommended to use a rope for river crossing, use the mutual support method with hill sticks or walking poles. I've got a rope and gear here you can have for your trip, pick it up when you call in on your way past.
I would be really careful with ropes as people tend to push limits in order to access country or recover an animal and that's when murphy shows up!
No animal is worth it... if the animal isn't in a good area to recover then leave it or wait until it has walked into such a spot as it's simply not worth the grief.
Edelrid Rap Line Protect Pro 6 mm x 40 meter for when glacier travel or abseiling may be required.
Make sure any abseil/back up device used is compatible with skinny ropes.
Most atc or similar when used with these modern rap lines will require an additional biner to get sufficient braking.
@Seventenths 100% Agree.
