Anyone know who does this?
Broke a pole in my Terra Nova Solar Competition and can't get a replacement (out of production). It went through the fabric too, which is a bugger but I can patch it ok.
In the mean time I've ordered one of these:

Are they alloy poles @Tahr? A lot of tents come with an alloy sleeve to fix poles. They just slip over the pole.

Yes, there is a plastic repair sleeve (alloy poles) but it doesn't look very robust. The elastic thread is broken too.Quote:

Will depend on size I guess but that's a start. 3mm bungy cord is easy enough to get too.

Try Dwights in Upper Hutt when you are next up this way.
I've replaced sections at either Kathmandu or Macpac before, might be worth a shot in case you can find something that is a close enough match.

Saw that and enquired but they are out of stock. Terra Nova in the UK were not very helpful. They suggested I went to a tent repairer in Scotland - after I said I was in NZ.Quote:

Hi Tahr
Happened to me on one of my tents, went to get some material and glue whatever to do the patch and when the guy asked what I was fixing he told me to go to Burnsco and get some sail repair tape. Absolutely brilliant self adhesive BUT BE WARNED make sure ya patch is in the correct place first time NO second chances if you're wrong...dunno bout the pole tho'...hope that helps..!!!
