I haven't got it but it's probably a good idea.
The base is pretty thin, obviously to keep weight down, so you have to be pretty vigilant to clear the ground where you're setting up of anything sharp.
Same could probably be said for most light weight tents? Same as any gear you want to last, take care of it and it should take care of you. (Not really a mantra I live by though)
