    Tents

    Hi there Folks!

So I've been getting by with a fly sheet just fine over the last couple of years but I'm really after a four seasons tent as I hunt in the snow during the winter time.

I'm after a 2 person tent to allow for a mate and am after some recommendations from people who use this stuff how it's meant to be :-)

    Any help much appreciated folks

Just (10 mins ago) purchased off Ali express a Naturehike Opalus 3 person, 4 season tent for $177 us shipped. Hopefully it performs well as the reviews seem good. It’s the same as what bush buck have for $390.

Yup. Tried a few tents, finally got a Hilleberg. Wish I had it sooner.

Macpac Olympus. Had mine for over 20 years. Real easy to put up. Not the lightest, but it is bombproof.

I've heard only great things about the Stoney creek Armadillo 1.5

It seems to tick all the boxes so far :-)

My Macpac Mineret has stood up well to years of use and abuse.... and in the winter or forecasted wet weather or when planning to stay in one spot for a while, I also take a fly to make a good veranda.

Pretty heavy for a 1 man. Looks like a strong design though.

Personally, for that sort of money I'd be looking at a tent from a specialist company that is tried and tested.

Anyone tried he Macpac Microlight? Obviously for solo use, but is it a bit tight on space for pack and other gear?
