Thread: Thoughts on these please

I have order 5 of each of these in (Camo & Dark Olive)
I reckon they be bloody good as a back up for guys like me who do not like the hard shell (water proof) outer clothing due to its restrictive and overheating causing sweating and getting wet from that.

I have just added the Factory details on the fabric

Gore-Tex is a Patented Brand (think I have that correct)
Was prob the 1st breathable fabric we all cottoned onto back in the early 90's in my case

Always have liked ponchos as a wet weather gear option. The ability to also use them as an emergency shelter is a bonus not that ive ever been in that position thankfully.

They look the bees-knees for the prepper grab-bag too

@Sarvo Yeh gore -tex is just IMO a over hyped brand ,guiding around the world l have used & seen in use most gear, IMO the German invented SympaTex material out performs Gore Tex particularly in breath-ability (most important feature for me as l hate stewing away while glassing etc )& it is much quieter & flexible.You should keep your eye out for it in offered gear as or our conditions it is a far better product .

We use Ponchos for hunting on Stewart Island & the Fiordlands often ,they are great for sitting on while glassing as well as covering up from shit weather protection.I had a White Tail walk up within spitting distance while l was under a Poncho waiting for a buck to come to a spot l was sitting watching .

Do you think the design is OK on this Camo-Tec Brand (I myself have never used one)
M-Tac the other Ukraine company I use - has one too - just in Army green
I see on Ebay etc you can get one for $60-ish coming from that other place - but they don't show the detail so I imagine wont have the Q control and finished result of this brand ?

@Sarvo It is always hard to tell just from a pic ,but they look OK to me, they have allowed plenty of room for a pack & ease of movement .I meant to add l also use mine for either rolled up as a rifle rest off rocks when shooting at extreme angles in the Tops for Tahr & Chammy hunting or laid out to glass/prep for shot through the scope when laying on shitty ground & have even used it as meat bag on multiple occasions .The multi use of kitt like poncho's is a important factor to take into consideration when selecting gear to carry ,having just one bit of kitt that can do multiple functions is far better than 15 different bits weighing twice as much .

@Sarvo Yeh l read through it all as l am bit of gear nut when it comes to good useful/interesting Kitt ,l meant to add when you mentioned about the cheaper ones ,l think that the fact this mob t have taken the trouble to double sew the seams shows these are good quality ,so much gear now the skimp out on reinforcing important seams,it really bugs me .

I used those Thermals of yours for the first extended hunting trip ,we did 35 days of actual hunting over the last couple of months through everything from drought to get the Bloody Ark floods & hunting low land pigs in the scrub to high Alpine Tahr (as in my new Avatar)& they are a great bit of gear ,recommend them to any one .

looks like a good bit of kit.....awesome when pissing down to be able to have rifle under poncho slung over shoulder upsidedown....

That might be all things to all people

A mate of mine had one similar to this on a trip we did into thunderbolt tops.Worked well until we walked out in rain and high winds.Wind got underneath it and was like a parachute haha.Got soaked and eventually ripped to bits.

Well most prob would not get caught out in such weather and I doubt this will rip to bits - seen plenty that would from you know where
