    Trail camera

Hi Team , I’m not really up with the play on the Tech side of things , I’m looking for recommendations on trail cameras, more for security, I’m really after something a little cheap & cheerful with the view of having 2 or 3 vs 1 expensive one , I see there’s a few cheapies from China but I have no clue what would be a good buy , or even some used one mite fit the bill , you’re thoughts would be appreciated ? . Thanks.

I totally get that the tech world can be overwhelming. When I started with trail cameras, I felt the same way! Here's a tip: Check out archerytopic.com. They've got some awesome hunting gear reviews, including trail cameras. Reading through those reviews can give you a better idea of what might suit your needs.I've used a couple of budget-friendly ones myself, and they've worked surprisingly well. Keep an eye out for brands that offer good value for the price. Used ones can also be a decent option if they're in good condition.

You can buy some of the better brands like browning, Moultrie etc from the US and get them here for half of the price you pay in NZ. I bought a Moultrie one last week and it was here this week, $148 total landed. Same ones are $350 here.
I also have an array of cheap AliExpress cameras, most work ok however you tend to get the odd one that is a bit of a flop. Things like triggering too slow or the motion sensor being far too sensitive. For $50 odd each though it is hard to complain. Yet to find one that takes really good photos or videos though.
