Yep I did a lot of research but nothing like a test in the real world. Paired with the x-therm I think this should be good...youngest son (11) used it in a tent the other night and reckons he was too hot. Good thing about a quilt is it is very easy to put on a down top and still have plenty of room...

Damp clothes?? If you put on a layer of dry clothes gotta feel warmer Shirley? Same as a silk liner boosting the rating of any bag.

Any chance of some compressed comparison shots @Tikka7mm08? I'm wanting to upgrade my bag and this could be the way to go.. Only upgrading to see if I can half the size of my sleeping bag

The photo of the bag on the right...it is in a 5L drybag! Compression is very good...but can do a photo with Kathmandhu Moonraker (love that bag) and Sea to Summit Micro McIII | Sea to Summit which is a couple of hundred grams heavier and I didn't like the foot box. It is a good bag overall though too.

I have the Sea to Summit XTII and am hoping to get something compressed to half the size.. It takes up a hell of a lot of room in my pack. Very warm though.

I think its to do with the trapped warm air in the down being directly against the skin, im ok in a set of thermals but if I try wear a full set of clothes I definately feel colder

Are you thinking of selling it?

I think I'm more interested in a quilt

I'm the same. I get too hot unless I have more cloths on, then I seem to be able to regulate my temperature better.

The EN standard is with a light base layer on, the quilt guys aren't EN tested but try to do the same for some sort of uniformity. My Hammock gear 20 deg quilt is comfy for me to about -2 or -3c, After which I need to add layers. I am a cold sleeper and I think with a puffer ect I would suspect I would be cosy at the rated -7
