I also have the big agnes fly creek 2, happy with it, used in Fiordland with no trouble. Probably wouldnt recommend if you hard on gear as the material would likely rip easily.

yeah lucky enough to score a Big Agnes I think it's a UL 2 - found it on Tardme for cheap

As others have said it is great but feels thin so care is required but to be fair we always pick our campsites with care

Comes in at 1kg all up IIRC ?

It's lighter than my cheapo fly

Got a MSR Carbon 1. Nice little tent and under 1kg with footprint.
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

What tarp tent you got? Been looking at the double rainbow ( for about 2 years).
Went to buy some camouflage trousers the other day but I couldn't find any.

I'm currently on a ultralight gear mission and have got a copy? Of a Terra Nova Solar Photon 2 on the way.
It's wider at the foot that the Terra but same same in all other ways.
1.4 kg for a 2 man is pretty good. 1/2 my macpac.
The Terra rated best 2 man lightweight in a few comparison tests I read online.
    Will see when it arrives...

    No. Didn't get the liner.
    Pros:
Under the import GST/tax threshold (just email them to make sure this is the case).
    Light 1.1kgs
Roomy. Not that wide but very long. Great if you are tall.
Easy to set up and good in wind (see video).
Bath tub floor provides good protection.

    Cons:
Single skin so requires a lot of ventilation to stop condensation therefore not warm.
    Vestibules are not very big.
Packs up very thin but quite long.

Great 3 season tent. Four if you are sensible about where you set it up. I have been in the snow a few times with no problems.
