Does anyone know much about handheld radios?
I have some uniden UH 041 radios and one of them makes annoying noises every ten seconds approximately. It sounds like the transmit squelchy noise if that makes sense.
Any help would be mint cheers

PM @scottrods. 1 of his was doing something similar.
Can't remember what he had to do to fix it. Needed some small fix internally if I recall correctly.

Yep, I rang Uniden NZ about it. It's a known problem with a little filter IC on them. They could fit it or sell me the part.
I bought the part and got a teccie at work to solder it for me. From memory was $20 approx delivered but not sure. For them to fit was another $80.
I just googled their contact details and took it from there.
The other one I have is going to need it changed next too.
The risk of buying shit second hand. I got them a while ago now only just taken them out. Might bin them and buy new
