    Gortex socks mate!!! then you can wear whatever the hell you want.the Old army issue ones were the best ever piece of issue kit IMO.

    I have heard the Dubbin thing too but no more than that rumour

    I've always used this Nikwax shit
    Fabric and leather proof | sponge on / spray on waterproofing
    and with Huntech gaiters I've always found that it worked for me - I reapply say every couple of 3-day hunt trips

    and never dry leather in front of a fire but y'all knew that

    I buy it in shoe repair shops

    I have been trying to find Goretex socks for a while now with no luck. Any pointers as to where I might find some?

    Every once and a while they pop up in Kiwi disposals or peruse tard me or.......................become friends with a Fairforce member as they don't wear much green gear but usually have a closet full of the shit that's still in plastic.about the only thing they are good for really

    not personaly but having spent some time with pommy grunts they seamed happy with them but just like boots they are only water proff to the top,Im always looking for the NZ army ones to come up missed out last year by two minutes once
