The key with any waterproof clothing is letting the sweat out... Or your gonna be just as wet anyway.
Have looked at those socks before Jase... You rate them then ?

Ive never had the UK socks but have spent time with the users like ive said but the NZ issue ones I rate as one of the best bits of kit.Its an amazing feeling to be soaked thru to the bone all day then to be able to wip the boots off add a bit of foot powder because yes they do sweat a little and your feet are bone dry @R93 back me up here
I scored a pair of boots from Kiwi disposals a couple of years ago for $125. When they arrived i was pleasantly surprised to find a nice, hardly worn pair of meindles in the package. They had been broken in for me by a German squaddy.

I have used this stuff on my (full grain leather) boots for years:
Ko-Cho-Line Leather Dressing 225grm - CARR DAY MARTIN : Stable-Leather Care : AMS Saddlery | Riding Equipment and Much More. Shop Online or In Store
Was put onto it by an old school boot repair place down Colombo Street in Christchurch. Its the ducks nuts. I never have wet feet (except for when it goes down the top ). I also add some Sno-Seal on top if I am expecting to go into really wet areas as an added measure of protection.
I have also use it on other leather products I own. Good thing too is that one little tin will last years, as you only need to use a very small amount.
Hunting is not a hobby.....its an addiction
