    Do you really think that the tourists coming to nz and taking some drone picture shot from say wairere falls, lake tekapo and other places in nz are going to get in trouble with doc? most drone users don't care, that is the reality of it.

    That reminds me when the very first gsm mobile phones were arriving on the market ( about 1993 ish in Europe), most people who were not a phone owners were finding them annoying, they would ring at any time during movies, restaurant time...etc.
    Now that pretty much anybody has one, we are used to live with them, tolerate them but also in most case try to behave with them so that we don't annoy our surroundings. There are laws which prohibit its usage in certain places.

    The law although ban you to use them while driving , but great portion of users don't care . I don't say it is good, it is bad but it is happening nevertheless .
