That reminds me when the very first gsm mobile phones were arriving on the market ( about 1993 ish in Europe), most people who were not a phone owners were finding them annoying, they would ring at any time during movies, restaurant time...etc.
Now that pretty much anybody has one, we are used to live with them, tolerate them but also in most case try to behave with them so that we don't annoy our surroundings. There are laws which prohibit its usage in certain places.

The law although ban you to use them while driving , but great portion of users don't care . I don't say it is good, it is bad but it is happening nevertheless .
    Very true @Friwi

@40mm I Don't see why I would fly it over your place, unless you got something worth while seeing there

I see a challenge can the drone make it through! Or will it be the new wall decoration at the 40mm den

I respect your beliefs but don't impose them on me.

I'd say quad bikes are more nosey. Yet when I was out last week there were loads of hunters zooming around on their quad bikes, with their rifles in the rack in front of them. Waiting for something to jump out in front of them I suppose.
Pretty annoying I think... But hey, they have been using quad bikes for ages and we just have to live with it.

In all seriousness, drones can be operated way up high, and does not nearly make as much noise as say a quad bike.

I appreciate you asking here but I have had people flying drones over my property a while back without asking permission

It's a bit like people riding trailbikes (which I do) - ask first and you are ok, if they say no then smile and move on

My neighbour was surprised to find a drone hovering by his front gate and obviously checking him out and he asked me if it was mine - I said that if I ever took up drone flying I would text him first that I was going to be flying it about and that if he didn't take his shotgun to it with speed then I would not be far behind him in my alacrity to despatch the avian menace - I'm pretty quick with a 12 Gauge

Animals hate drones. Popular for clearing cattle out of fodder beet.

There are drones casing farms around here and I have seen one hovering looking into our yard.

What shot size and choke for drones?

@308 I understand your frustration, and I’ll just clarify that my enquiry was about using them on public land. Using a drone on someone’s land is like walking around with a camera, taking photos, on someone’s land, so I don’t know why one wouldn’t ask for permission first.

@Tussock again, if someone’s using a drone on your land, without your permission, it’s just wrong. Shootem down.

I’m hoping deer won’t get scared off if I fly high, but also more looking to use it to scope out terrain, access etc.
