    Afraid I am from the other kiwi camp.
    Used my Fairydown Tera Nova pack this week for 3 days in the Kaimanawas. It has been my only "big" pack (70 litres) for the last 20+ years and is still in great nick.
    I have used it a lot over that time an am getting the feeling it will outlast me.
    Also have a Fairydown Scorpion sleeping bag of the same vintage. Only used in winter but all good apart from one small hole that was patched 10 odd years ago.
