Thread: walkie talkies for hunting trip

Honestly think that 5w radios are over rated for most applications. We use a mix of the 5w unidens and the 2w GME 677 on farm here and have not felt under gunned with the GME's tough wee radios that have taken a hiding the oldest ones we have are three seasons old and are used daily rain hail or shine, dragged through mud and shit and bounced around on dashboards etc. This is my personal one and it's three seasons old now still goes good as. Farm is spread out over about 900ha including hills and forestry and bush etc
