Thread: Warthog knife sharpener

Evening. Wondering if people have used these. Available at H and F. I have a Lansky set but find it a bit fiddly. The Warthog looks simple and easy to leave permanently set up on a bench and quick to put an edge on your blade with a consistent angle. Am I right? Are they the answer for the non knife sharpening folks? Cheers

Yip super easy to use, gives knife a awesome edge. I got mine of trade Me from the supplier awesome service, I even got a pocket one to take with me when out and about.

Yes. I'm one of those folks and bloody impressed! There have been a few threads/posts on the warthog.

Yep, the company on TM was very helpful. If you're going for it, I would order some 1000 grit hones at the same time as the basic package.

The Warthog Sharpeners are great and easy to use. Have a look at The South African Panrty in Paraparaumu, they sell two models - for $109 and $118.

I’m not knocking the warthog, but I charge $5 to put a mirror edge on your knife if it’s under 100 mm and $7.50 if it’s over...just saying.
