Anyone got a good watch that does baro, temp etc that doesn't cost the earth? Mrs always gets me bloody Nixon watches that are only good for making my sock draw look pretty.
Looked at a G shock Mr G but that was like $1300!!

You'll only need 1 x G Shock for the rest of your life. Good watches don't come cheap.
I cant help you with the watch you are after but if you could get your Mrs to teach mine to buy me some more nixons that would be great!
Not sure what you're doing with them, mine's still going after 12 years - never been opened.
Suunto Core.
Tissot titanium nice, touch screen, compass, height, baromatic, tells the time!!, chronograph, wipes your bum! and is lite weight.
$1300 cheap for a good watch you tight arse:thumbsup:
Worked in a watch shop that sold watches and did repairs for 2 years when I was younger.
Sold a few of those G-Shocks, I was the guy in the shop that read all the manuels and so ended up selling them because I could answer questions.
Never had one back for repair. No saying they don't break, just that I never saw it over that time.
Monaco the supplier of Casio's (G-Shock) were good to deal with for servicing issues, like replacement watch cases, straps and movements(watches engine).
The watch seemed to have change a bit in 15years but I can only imagine it's got better.
Hope you find something that suits.
Here's one for a grand:

G shock Rangeman looks good cheers Brads :)
Got a Suunto core very happy with it. But need a replacement as the glass face cracked when it clipped a wayward axe head! Following with interest

I've got a G shock Rangeman. Temp and baro do not work at the same time - baro requires a constant temperature to work correctly i.e. on your wrist.
To get the temp correctly, you need to take it off so your body heat is not warming the watch.
If you have the time to let the watch cool down to give an accurate temp reading, then it's a very rugged, and functional watch. Added bonus - it does not need battery changes as it charges with solar.
Love the altimeter on mine but changes with the weather, never worried about using temp. Are there any other choices other than g-shock and suunto
