Wear On Earth down jacket breathability

Looking for user feedback on the breathability of the Original Men's Down Jacket, with the standard outer material.

I am a bit cautious around the question of breathability. Blair and Lucia have been very helpful, but ultimately I have to choose between the standard three layer waterproof shell material, or a more breathable option.

Has anyone had any issues re breathability with the standard tri-layer shell material ?

I would welcome any feedback on this issue.

    Thanks.

I have the standard one, it’s very hot and gets stuffy. Would be fine for a camp jacket but don’t think you would want to walk in it.

Breath ability and down jackets don’t go hand in hand. You don’t want to be active in a down jacket

Get the non waterproof version, I’ve had one for years

I've got 3x water proof WOE puffers. Wouldn't walk in them. Too hot

Second this, way more packable and just as warm. Have a few of them including one I bought off @hotsoup a few years ago. Served me well

    Thanks all for the feedback.

Confirms my concerns that for me, waterproof may be a bit clammy, even as a morning and evening camp jacket. @hotsoup- agree with not wanting to be active in a down jacket, although mid winter street use is also probable and clammy would not be good in that scenario either.

    Breathable it shall be.
