in my opinion , this is as bad as the cell phone seller , joins forums across the world that have "hunting" in title , to see if they can get their kickstarter project going , ...
Here's feedback- fuck off
Exacly, do your market research.
for the weight of the vest and spare batteries you could carry a hell of a puffer jacket
Solution looking for a problem. Tank crews in the Russian winter have this tech, but not necessary for 99% of cases.

Slap a huge price on it and market it to the rich tourists who show up to view the northern lights unprepared, and to the hotels that accommodate them.
Double fuck off.
Looks about as useful as racing stripes on a telephone to be honest.
Dont Milwaukee tools already do a heated jacket .
Going through a gorse patch wearing this would be like running into an electric barbed wire fence...
Hahahahahaha .....
Anyone pledging towards this needs to toughen up. Im 75% a townie and 90% a techie, however I'd never embrace that as acceptable to take outdoors. If your going out in the cold... your going out in the cold, if you need heated clothes to embrace outdoors then you should consider staying the F at home.
Hey... he should ask Samsung to assist with this... could help make them really hot too.
I've used a Milwaukee heated jacket while driving around in a side-by-side putting out salt blocks in the high country while it was raining. It was warm but not necessary and it had a shortish battery life so it needed plugged in to the cigarette lighter to charge which was inconvenient every time I wanted to step out of it. A good waterproof jacket with warm base layers works just as well.

And I can say, they have been dealing with this temp plus more for a few years...ready on chinghis Khan etc....
The instant heat is great, but so impractical. Available power being the first issue.
Merino or cashmere , layered up. Keep dry. And all good. -57 c was the coldest for me. Still living and have all external body items (although liver has receive a order of merit' for outstanding service.....)
I'd sooner walk around on fire
