The tooth technology on the likes of the Bacho is amazing - I used them heaps in the orchard - cuts vines like butter - the saw is so compact when folded
But don’t overlook some old technology in a slasher - this one is sixty years old that I know about and I can remember my Dad using it back then
I carry it in my trapping pack everywhere I go - gorse, vines, ponga ferns, bracken fern, small trees - they don’t argue with this tool - the blade shape pulls a vine towards you - I just had the original handle out and re-seated it about 25mm deeper - but might be a bit heavy for longer hunting trips

Looks similar to my bill hook that came out of the UK. Mines a bit thicker wih a straight blade on the back of it with more 'point' to the 'hook'
Was using an ex forestry service slasher the other day. When working summer job for doc at uni they were putting them in the skip :wtfsmilie:
Bahco 21" bow saw?

Occasionally the teeth need resetting as the width of the cut slowly narrows with use. Cheap enough to leave behind at huts when necessary.
