Loving the Twinneedle. Can slap on pouches for africa, put all my gear in them and the whole main bag is free for meat. I was a bit skeptical of the rifle scabbard built into the back of the expander panel but it works bloody well and holds the wee cannon nice and snug out of my way while i get into fistfights with Matagouri bushes.

Do you find you get hung up in monkey scrub and the like with that day pack? Especially with the pouches on the side?

Those Zeiss scopes are serious value for money.

Yea how noisy are the twin needle packs, soft canvas ? like the one above minus the pouches, looks just the ticket for the bush, anything works in the open, its suppeljack, lawyer, leatherwood and matagouri, infested scrub, that show up a packs faults.

Nah mate I found it's quite narrow to start with, so pouches on the side don't actually come out past my waist more than an inch or two, and I'm not a big guy. I just find it easier having all my lunch and brew gear ready to go on the outside and not jangling round taking up pack space ha. I think they're 35L without pouches?

The fabric is a little scratchy in the bush, but there's no rattly zips or anything, and while a bit noisy it appears tough as hell. I think It's 1000D heavy nylon/cordura?

Without pouches it's slick as, easy for ducking through the scrub. Have had a few nightmarish 'short cuts' thru Mackenzie scrub in the last few weeks and never had any issues besides falling on my arse.
    The buckles seem indestructible.
Copes with a full internal capacity of meat no worries. (my back doesn't)

Overall, stoked with it so far.

Primo. I wanted to see the scabbard in the flesh, now I can.

    Good pack choice too.
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

    Small.

When u pack mine into another pack I just fold it up like a shirt and sit it at the top or bottom. Takes up bugger all room.

If you remove the back panel foam it can fold up into a NZDF issue waterbottle pouch - small @Ranal
