Cheers for the replies folks, I have it back together so will see how it performs.
A word of warning if you rest your riffle on something to take a shot always check your magazine is still in the riffle, twice on Friday night I heard the dreaded click sound so looked down to discover my mag had dropped out somewhere.
Lucky when I retraced my steps I found it again but only because the paddocks were bare of grass or otherwise I would have lost them.
The wee lever to eject the mag can get knocked easy and mag ends up on the ground.
Not if you've got the earlier model it doesn't instead you've got the opposite problem of getting the empty mag out when equipt with fat fingers having no fingernails or wearing gloves.
