you have missed point...3m in ANY DIRECTION..... so if you can step over it but its running its more than 3mtrs if this wasnt the case you could make your pond that was say 25x25mtrs into strips 2.5mtrs wide with dry ridges for ducks to sit on..but you cant because the strips would be still 25mtrs long.
Nope I didn't miss it at all. I understand it completly. I don't agree with it, nor with how it was justified, but it is what we have and we abided by it
@Dama dama did you end up getting one? I'm thinking of going to a 20g, what's everyone's thoughts?
I got a wee .410 singleshot. It was super cheap and I've always wanted one myself. If my boy is super keen on ducking then I'll get him a gas operated 20 or 12ga next year. I did not eat to spend the money in case it doesn't stick as an interest for him.
To be fair given this is the last season for lead in .410, then 20ga makes the most sense.
Priced up some 20g bismith. $108 for a 20 round box.:omg:
Omg, that much?!!!
OUCH....one will hope the .12ga versions arent too much or scavenging shot not economically feasible.
i had some bismuth last year i got given. was brilliant but smashed the birds to pieces. Was loading 36 gram 6s as thats the load data i could find. i did buy some falcon stuff too for a good price so i could open them up and scab the shot for the 410 but it think 4s are a bit big. Id like at least a 7 shot or smaller.
I am also considering 20g for both ducks and rabbits, the reason mainly for my wife, I do `t think she can handle well for a 12g shotgun, and I do `t want blow rabbit out.
Not sure what brand etc it was would have to find the bottle .but it was very hard .I put it in the vice to ensure it was not lead..under pressure it sort of exploded in pieces where the lead just squashed .
remington now load it ata mere 73$ american a box for the 16 gauge
Fish city in Hamilton have bismuth,like shooting gold pellets looking at the price!
[QUOTE=Quackers;1435777]Where did you source from.[/QUOTE
Magnum Imports NZ LTD. Upper Hut. $70 kg. Not cheap but way better than what Factory shells are costing.
