Beretta choke tubes
This seems to confuse me every few years. I switch between 2 guns regularly during the season. I shoot mainly an Extrema 2 with a 28” barrel because it fits. The other gun is an A400 extreme plus.
For steel shot over water IM or M depending on the distance ?
For lead shot in the paddocks full choke ?

Mod choke will see you right with most applications. Swinging the gun and following thru or maintaining a lead is more important .don't get too hang up on chokes ..maybe do some patterning with the 2 chokes .

Thanks. Will have a play around this afternoon

I use 2 one is modified so old school half and a imp cyl which is 1/4 the tighter one in theory should be better out another 5_10 yards but I believe if I didn't look I wouldn't tell which was in.going with the more open one on opening day this season.

I shoot cylinder in my A400 till sun comes up and shots get further out then I swap to modified.

I run the Optima plus Modified extended ported choke out of my 1301(same chokes as the A400).
I use it for everything from Lead over paddocks to steel over water and it just plain works.

I don't have a Beretta, but I only use the Modified (for steel) choke tube. I just leave it in for pheasants with lead shot.

I shoot an A400 + and when shooting my pond I run the improved cylinder choke, works bloody well on nice close decoying ducks. When I head to the lake or anywhere that is generally a slightly larger body of water then modified is generally in the gun. I almost never shoot lead because it’s always waterfowl so I never get to use my improved modified or full choke.
