Thread: Breeding Quail Or partridge

Ive got a Mate (None shooter , retired at 39 and board as F@$k ). He's a bit weird, and loves game birds ,& wants to breed some . ?? he's fanatical and if he decides he wants to do it he will succeed . Id love him to do quail as i'd like to put a covey here and there (public land) and see if they take off (excuse the pun ) . Obviously Quail are a acclimatised bird , so there are permits etc . (are they easy/hard to get ). If not can he bread Red Legs with out the paperwork . ( got a place in mind for them)
Any Advice or links to game bird sellers etc would be appreciated . This may not happen but I'm sure like to help him out while he's still keen
