    Clays day

had the pleasure of smacking over a few clays with GSPF,Smiffy and smiffys young fella yesterday .my shooting not so shit hot -what given COVID19 antics etc and my clay trap needs an overhaul but all in all great fun.highlight of day fro me was seeing a couple of very prime pheasants float across the field of fire seconds after traps fired. nup -we didnt even think about it but gee its great to see wild birds again.
even managed to bust a claybird with my old(original)gun my bentley pointer-hmm the recoil factor is also evident when i switched from the A5 long stroke Bentley to my trusty gas powered escort.
couldnt resist it prior to leaving and in a digital salute to jacinda and dickhead stewy I loaded the escort chocka and played 12g rock&roll 5rounds in as many seconds yeeha
we had a full range of shoties 410,20g 12g semis ,o/u sxs and pumps so it was quite interesting watching the effects on clays .I was very impressed with the wee 410 though as smiffy smoked two clays in quick succession --fair pulverised em.
today my 4 guns to be cleaned -escort prepared for opening day.then my trap will be scrutinised and overhauled.
all up bloody excellent -thanks guys.email from my mate last night -invitet -his recce reveals quantities of very smug ducks geese and swans -could this be my year -Hmmmmmmmmmm???saliva is dripping at thoughts of plump roast duck already!!
