    Cold day at the lake

I didn't get out of bed yesterday morning but when I arrived at lunchtime my mate had opened the tally

We headed out about 2:30pm and got amongst it. Plenty of ice blowing around

We did ok , got a handful of mallards and a black swan or two. Beats being at home anyway

you are lucky to be still able to shoot at the moment. NORTH ISLAND ducks have other things to do, family duties call. Sex is on the drakes mind. I think its to cold for your ducks to think about breeding yet, we all know how a willy reacts to the cold
