Unhappy Doves – time to go get them

An interesting report below about doves (flying rats) – not the guy in the picture - that is a native Falcon
No plans to regulate ring-necked doves, MPI tells... | Stuff.co.nz
I believe there will be a population boom round here – very quickly - the neighbour started with a handful a couple of years back – must be fifty round here at present – too fast for the hawks – we badly need a Falcon
The Falcon in this picture is living round Richmond and is cleaning up doves and pigeons – my relative's house – the Falcon is waiting on the pigeon house for the pigeons to return – he cleaned them all up real quick – sometimes the cunning buggar would wait inside the pigeon house - they didnt mind - just loved to see the Falcon turn up every day until they were all finished - he is working his way round the neighbourhood - sometimes making himself unpopular - but surviving cause people love him

Anyone got any idea on how to get rid of doves in a residential situation – 1 acre is too close to neighbouring houses for a slug gun
Other reports about Falcons in suburbia – they love pigeons -

Atrazine...a cup full mixed with 20 litres of water in a bucket and then filled with maize to soak for three days. Feed that out...kills everything. Seen a maize grower use this mix when pestered by ducks...killed hundreds and every rat, cat, possum, rabbit, hare that gobbled them up.
Which is worse, ignorance or apathy...I don't know and don't care.

Use a live capture trap. Take them out into the country, open the cage, bang, problem solved.
