Thread: Duck boat outboard tips

Just managed to get a great deal on a 12ft parkercraft and an older(early 80s)7.5hp Johnson outboard,have painted the waka and replaced the plugs and put fresh fuel in the tank of the outboard,got her fired up and running but bit rough,what’s some other things I can do to improve the running of the motor?have googled a bit and seen that a new impeller and to change the oil in the bottom of the shaft is recommended??any other ideas for the old girl? Thanks team.
