100% this. Every day further towards winter is another day it may start acting like winter in the Waikato. When i was a kid opening day was always, wet, cold and often foggy, the last 10 years have been predominantly hot calm, and sunny (with on particularly foggy day - but still hot). Feels like the seasons have slid a few weeks along...

Yea man have found the whangamarino has been pretty dry the last 4 or so years last year we just laid out a black tarp had the birds cupping to land on it lol
