Enthusiasm bitten me, wonder for how long

So have got a forestry permit with the intention of chasing pesky quail.

I got all keen and decided might be a good idea to sight in the .223 at a longer distance than 10m:yaeh am not durnk: just in case something bigger with 4 legs should happen past. Its a bit strange cause in the 12 years I have owned it I have never fired it at anything other than paper and steel in competition (3 gun) .
I am not really built for steep hills unless its going down them so this might be a bit of a jolly (good laugh)
Haven't bothered reloading hunting ammo , Just brought 2 packets of off the shelf Federal 64gn stuff, ouch. First factory ammo I have brought in 20 years.
Scraped around and and found a small mag for it.
Not the most accurate load but can hit the 4 inch plate at 250 repeatedly so should be ok. Scope is only low power 1-5.5x so no super duper shots for this old bugger.

Now I just need to find something to point it at and I don't mean quail.

We should have a chat and work out where your allowed and not allowed then i might be able to put you onto a spot or two :)

Will dig out the map but basically Golden Downs, Should have called you before going to the range. Had it all to myself today, you could have come too.

Was goin to take them for a goat hunt but unfortunately the owner already had a guy up there pig hunting.
Dropped em at a friends to babysit at 2pm payed with venison and came to work.
Still bloody here.
