Falcon ammo seems like a good deal. Any comments on performance? I'm restricted to 2 3/4" shells in my old skb semi. The 35gr loads ok in #3 or 4#? Any comments on the lighter loadings?

I have some mates that shoot more ducks than most and they run falcon, will find out what loads they run
It's good nz made ammo I use #4 and shoot plenty of the 3 slabs I used I had 1 fail to fire, there isn't much difference from the 3 inch
Yep use 2 3/4 #4's for everything and its great, cannot fault it
Would have been through 10+ slabs by now without a single issue
Ducks N Bucks, Kingis N Crays
Hard to find in auckland
Great lighter loads I saw the 30grm stuff on shelf in Ashburton this week, been looking for it every year first time I've seen it. I prefer a load of #3s but if on small pond the #4s would be ok too.

I had issues with the brass on falcon in the late 1990s, I assume this has been solved.

the only issue Ive ever struck was shooting high volume at rabbits as in a slab a night through a neglected maverick....the wee exractor hook would ride over rim on about every 20th shell..... there were a few that had a distinct slope rather than being square on front face... it was only on the plastic packaged bulk ammunition the cardboard boxed stuff was fine as had different brass, the cheddite brass has improved no end since then.... a bloody good clean sorted the maverick....

cleaning whats cleaning
if you had a 870 micky no shell is safe from the remy extractor
stuck or sideways it,l rip the head off and leave you nice needle nose pliar removable pieces. at the risk of repeating myself falcon 2 3/4 inch 40 gram lead 2,s no goose can avoid them.
when i was in the waikato with me late unc everybody used those plastic packs of falcon
i thought maybe because they were tight as fishes arses but it maybe they were a good load to.
that early fiocchi steel was shite and the first run of 2 3/4 inch b and p steel jammed everything but wait for it wait for it the remy 870.
still it did cost nme five minutes of hungry duck killin time
my mates winchester required a full breakdown and pliars and ramrod job
Seemed to be a pile of it at H&F in Dunedin earlier this week.

Don't use any other brand now, performance is more due to the operator than SR71 velocities and names like black cloud duckinator etc. No amount of pellets will do any good even if propelled at supersonic speeds if they're in the wrong place.
My issues were a flaw in both brass [U]and[U] the gun. It was so bad that I had to bail, and go into town to buy winchester about lunchtime on opening day. It was about 25 years ago.
