Sharpened up the extractor and shallowed up the groove on the barrel.
It would still pull off the rim at times but it was leaving a dent in the bottom of the case. It was trying to get it out but still sticky.

Well I started this tread....and I lm happy for it to go off topic!. My son is running an 870 this year, so will be interesting to see how it goes. Plus, I'm kinda keen to replace my old skb, and pump guns are fun and cheap and reliable, and the new 870 field master looks pretty good.
