    Go south young man

Given the state of duck hunting in North Canterbury I headed south with the middle child for opening weekend.

Got thoroughly spoilt with ducks (192 by 11am Sunday). Southland at its best.

Boy pulled off some great shots and has claimed my A400 as his now. A happy loss.

    Thanks @nathanF for the hospitality!

We used one of the breasting tools and a bit of a processing line. Got through them quick and kept some fat drakes for full roasts.

Time to relax now with an afternoon beer or two. Good on you both.

A bit like this but screwed to a workbench. Separates the breasts then just skin and cut breasts out.

That looks remarkably easy...sort of like how you can pull meat off of a shoulderblade but easyer and cleaner.

would love to see how they work.... if anyone has a few photos of one in action...Ive tried the filleting knife under the breast plate thing...not impressed, now I pluck breast well out onto edges and slice right around then work up one side, overthe top and back down other...by leaving skin on breasts they dont dry out so much.
