I have not seen any data which suggests that the banning of lead shot has saved waterfowl, but then again, I don't think that was the real intention anyway. I believe that the ban was a pre-emptive strike against those who were planning to use the lead shot issue as a means to ban/reduce waterfowl shooting - just my opinion. I would have thought that if F&G had conclusive proof that the ban has resulted in more ducks, then we would have all heard about it.
