    Have a read up of the ammo. A lot of 3" stuff is only going the same speed as 2&3/4 stuff with the same payload in steel. I did ask the falcon guy this once. He said going to a 3" case, it allows for a better wad and things aren't so cramped in the case and that's all . So unless you're chasing geese and can find the heavier payload stuff( more than 36-40gram), then you are at no disadvantage with 2&3/4.
