I had a mate come down especially from the north island for this weekend. Even though the weather was extreme I could not back out of it.
We layered up and hit the pond.It was certainly the coldest wettest day I can remember. We shot all day - arriving at 6 am and leaving at 6:30pm. It didn't help that the mai mai had 2 foot of freezing slush on the floor. With constant rain, sleet and snow flurries the water table kept rising. It was actually a good way to warm up every hour or so
Still the ducks came . Not many got out once they committed
Got home just in time for a shower and the footy - a few shy of two limits
Good day
