In the hare vs pointer stakes the hare is the loser at the moment. Smart arses worked a pincer movement and drove it into a fence.

Its currently residing in the freezer without its furry coat
if hard pressed by a dog they.l often do a circle
try the hare backsteaks on the barbie just salt pepper and a minute or so each side maybe jugged hare for the rest

I shot a big one a few months back other side of river when I was out for a pukeko shoot. Farmers complain about them but awkward to shoot in the area what with houses and the cycle trail. Darn hare was so big the photo makes my GSP look like a puppy carrying it. I put it in the freezer for the gundog club, but if I get another will eat it. Soak them overnight in water with a little vinegar added apparently. I'm sure I could get a good recipie off the Europeans.
I've ordered some phez chicks as my birds keep eating the eggs.
