Mallards all done in Auckland /Waikato 2nd June

Does any one know if that's right ,seems a bit strange to end half way threw long weekend?

Was just getting ready for a evening shot & the book says ended on 2nd June FFS.

Seemed to be a high percentage of older birds this year ,which explains why they where a bit shy & harder to call in.Wonder if that was due to the dry summer ,they need a fair amount of humidity to incubate their eggs.Maybe the hatch was way down on account of it .Probably similar number to last year, another month for Parries so not all bad .
