    I scanned the blurb and noted the reported comment of the Council "chair polisher."

    "..........The birds would die instantly........" Her ignorance ( or is it deliberate deception) is not unexpected.

    Unless of course the "contractor" has arranged for a small nuclear device to be dropped in the park in which case the sound of gunshots would be the least of the nearby living ratepayers' worries.

    I’ve culled geese like that at night. Very dark night, using spotlights. It’s quite effective.

    They did at 11pm Sunday night a couple of weeks ago by my place. No warning, just shitloads of 12 gauge banging away, I listened to make sure it wasn't coming closer and went back to sleep. Oldies in the retirement villas on the other side may have had some worries

    Couple of guys kitted out with these might do the trick, not sure the contract would be worth the outlay but you never know....
