New and need somewhere to shoot

Hey just seeing if anyone can point me in the right direction to any public maimais to shoot on in the Auckland area or just outside?

I can't help with the Auckland area but there is a game bird "spot x" book that I have found helpful when traveling around the country. Could be well worth the $ for a new shooter
