I will need to go back to work to recover.....
You are so spoilt !!
Bright and early...ham sandwich, flask of coffee, Old Grouse with Stones in hipflask, whistle, gun, ammo and male dog and off to my usual Opening Day haunts, then go and look see in another area in the afternoon...cannot wait...just got to go easy until then and not hurt myself before the 3rd...taking the whole week off...so hopefully nine days of happiness...:) Poor Harry, neighbours son and my shooting companion, had an incident involving a bike, dust and a big hole with him the worst off, so he is not available on Opening Day...
off in a week, chase some stags then ducks til mid june....... don't hunt upland til later on in the season but may have to get into them earlier as most of the easy birds must get shot by lab owners..
shots fired

No upland down here till queens birthday. But the .223 or something will be handy, been a few pigs around the pond of late they tell me....
A good mate will be over Friday arvo to help set up on our willow choked creek possie, shoot there most of Saturday. Riverbed hunt on the Sunday then a big pack up and clean up Sunday arvo.
We've both shot that amount of ducks where another one in the bag doesn't mean much, it's more about just being there with ya dog and ya mate having a good time. We do always do better than most around here though. This year it will be about the dog work and getting good video.
Saturday Opening day pond till lunch . Big BBQ and beers , Sunday same . Opening week I hope to go south chuckars and quails (dependent on a mate to jack it up )
