    Parry Calls

    Hi All,
I am in the market for a new Parry call and wanted to know what your thoughts are about the different brands available and what you are all using.
My first thougts were for the Hammond, purely because I have a RIP mallard and love it !
    Cheers

    keenfella,
I've got a Hammond Parry call now and love it a...I used to have a Haydels one which worked ok after a bit of tampering got it going.

I believe the DJ Calls Parry is not bad either and maybe slightly cheaper.

I had a DJ Calls mallard that I lost at the end of last season which is a real bugger cos it was my go to caller. I may have to get a RIP Mallard from Allan I think.

Does Canterbury have a summer season for the parries this year?

    Hey puku,
Yeah there is a summer season up and going. I think I may have to get the Hammond and then get out the sil's and have a crack.
    Cheers

I brought the hammond call and haven't regretted it. It's not the cheapest one but parries are a nz bird so I feel buying one made in nz will get you a better tuned call. Also hammond calls are awesome.

    Parrie fuds work a treat.

Yes, have to agree, every Hammond I've tried has sounded real good and easy to get right. I've bought several cheapies not wanting to spend the $ but will be getting Hammonds for the upcoming season. In the long run they are well worth the extra $.

Go see Tom in Ballangers. He should give you a discount if you twist his arm hard enough.

I have seen the dj in both wood and plastic. It is about half the price of the hammond.

Dundee, for gods sake put some linseed oil on that poor thing.
